Edith is a bilingual, first generation Colombian-American film and video editor. She is passionate about storytelling for good, and often collaborates with non-profits and filmmakers whose mission is to enlighten and inspire audiences to social justice causes. She believes that stories, and specifically filmmaking through any genre, can shift the hearts and minds of the people. She’s also known to watch “The Monkey” on repeat and really wants to edit a live action adaption of the survival horror game SOMA.

The first feature film she edited, “Lady Parts”, won the Jury Award for Comedy Vanguard at the 2024 Austin Film Festival. Her second feature “Erased” (drama) is headed for festivals in the US in 2026. She assisted on the first season, and was promoted for the second season to lead editor, of “Hope Givers” for PBS, both of which went on to win Southeast Emmys.

Edith attended film school at NYU Tisch and started her career as a video editor in a niche corner of New York City medical science videography, filming and editing multiple face transplants and short documentaries. These experiences steeled her stomach and sharpened her gallows humor and led her to branch out to other opportunities in the film industry.

When not editing, fighting for her life and career against AI, or taking everything so seriously, Edith can be found obsessing over her 15 year old Maltese Shih-tzu, boxing, gently reminding people that it’s spelled “C-o-l-o-m-b-i-a” and not “C-o-l-u-m-b-i-a”, and drinking too much coffee (though she’ll also tell you there is no such thing).
