I Am Not Afraid

From his ablum “Songs for Gaza”, Niko Michalopoulos wrote “I am Not Afraid” from the real words of children in Gaza. The project merges piano composition, contemporary dance, and cinematic storytelling. The videos have won multiple international awards and helped raise over $51,000 for UNRWA.

Niko brings a unique perspective as the grandson of an Armenian Genocide survivor, exploring intergenerational trauma, resistance, and survival through music. The project has sparked strong responses across music, activist, and art communities and winning numerous music video film festival awards.

All proceeds from Songs for Gaza support UNRWA’s vital work in Palestine.
